Anisakiosis

[Beware of Anisakiosis while enjoying sashimi!]

It is possible to have taken in the terrible parasites while enjoying some melt in your mouth wasabi and sashimi, paired with a nice glug of draught beer…

“Anisakiosis”: A parasite which grows exclusively in aquatic animals that causes abdominal pains, nausea, and diarrhea. This parasite can infect the plankton in the sea, and then parasites on the flesh of fishes. If accidentally consumed, a delicious feast may just turn into a nightmare of abdominal pain.

So, if possible it is better to avoid eating raw and undercooked seafood products!
